18k and still going strong

That's right, I made 18,000 words.

I got Wii Fit today and I played for over 30 minutes. It's a really fun game. It says my body age is 27, but that can change drastically from day to day. I do need to gain some weight. I have a goal to gain three pounds in two weeks...I think I can manage that.

I'm enjoying the story still....but I have some more thinking to do about the environment that the children are currently in. do enjoy the remainder of my day off.

Hm...and then some

I applied to a job at an icecream parlor in denver, but I don't know if I'll take it. The job I interviewed for the night before, I won't be accepting it if they offer...but I don't expect them to. They are not people people, they are business people and I don't want to work for them.

I sent in my resume to a local coffee company for a job downtown, and it would really be nice to get the job, assuming I can go to school and spend time with Emily.

I broke 17,000 words in my book today. I think I may break 50,000 before I get through the outline. The cool thing about that is it makes my editing process easier because I don't need to figure out how to fill in extra space, I just need to edit the story and the writing.

15k and growing.

I reached the fifty thousand word mark today...almost to 16k! I'm getting even more excited about this story because it's taking on new shape with every word I right. I have not deviated from the outline much, but those changes I have made or definitely for the better!

Emily and I went to see Prince Caspian last night, and it was awesome! They didn't stick with the book as well as the old WonderWorks movies, but those movies sucked, and this one was awesome and still stuck to the spirit of the books very well.

We're going to a birthday party tonight, and then tomorrow we'll be at an engagement party for Jeremy and Sarah.

I'm still looking for new work, especially now that it seems as though I'm being attacked by some of my coworkers. I'm not going to be anyone's scapegoat anymore. There are some promising locations opening up, so we'll see what happens!

Last night

I did not sleep well last night. Really weird dreams.

Anyway, I didn't get anything done on my short story, but I did get a couple hundred words in on the book! I'm now up to 14,400+ (almost 14,500).

For supper last night I made hamburgers with shredded cheese cooked right into the meat! Awesome. And, no, I did not buy the patties that way...I MADE them. That's right, I mixed a pound of hamburger with a few handfuls of cheese and one egg, rolled 'em up, and stuck them on the skillet! Delicious!!

Anyway, I have to make a run to east-denver after lunch.

I've been writing a lot more since school let out. I'm up to 14,200 words, and I plan to write more this evening. I'm watching a stupid reality show right now, but that will be over soon.

I got really excited while I was writing earlier today; I got the opportunity to write some really cool things and I really got inside the character's head. I've felt like that reading before, but never when I was least not as far as I can remember. This is cool! I don't know what my progress is going to look like, but that's fine. I'm still learning.

I got an A in my history class this semester, and in the fall I'm going to take Creative Fiction Writing. I want to sell some short stories this summer and throughout the rest of the year. I'm thinking of adding characters to the Flatiron City world and make some short mystery/sci-fi shorts. to my writing.
