Another update

I know, I'm sporadic.

Emily's grandpa is getting sick. He's been to the hospital twice in the last two weeks, and the family is talking about putting him on a feeding tube so that he won't go hungry or get dehydrated. They're also talking about the possibility of hospice care. I don't want anymore people that I love to lose people that they care about. I already lost a friend this year, Jeremy lost his grandmother, who practically raised him since he was thirteen, so she was like a mother to him, and a grandmother! And Sarah lost her uncle last year. I know I'm getting to that age where I'm going to start losing people, but why does it have to be NOW? It hurts to see my wife grieving, both for her loss, and the loss that her mom and grandmother are going through. I don't want her to go through that.

On the bright side, I am here to comfort her. It may not ease the pain much, but at least it gives her someone to depend on to take care of things for her.

On another note, I want to be writing full time. I know I say that a lot, but whenever I take writing classes, it really hits me. It's irksome to know that I still have a long ways to go before I can financially depend on my writing, but that's what I want to do for a career. I am getting a lot of writing done these days, and a lot of it is for my book. I'm even making very important decisions and changes for the story and general terminology for the world that I've created.

I'm tired of everyone complaining about the economy. If it bugs you so much, go out and spend some money. If everyone spent more money, this wouldn't be an issue. Otherwise, go fix the laws that you think are causing the problem. Either way, quit wining because if you aren't going to actively solve the problem, then YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE!!! There is no middle ground.

I don't see what the problem is, either. I'm not struggling at all. My wife and I are getting along fine. Sure, we don't live in a fancy house, we don't have cable, satellite, or a fancy home theater. But we're eating healthy, full meals, and we have a roof over our head, even if it is rented. But adjustments can be made that will fix the economy while allowing you to live life well.

I want to quit my job and write full time. Not because I hate my job, I don't. I just want to write that much. Maybe that can happen soon.
